At Tier Tech International (TTI), we take pride in the dedication and creativity of our team members. In today’s post, we get to spotlight one of those team members, Madelyn, as she shares what she enjoys about working at TTI.
As a Strategic Design Approaches (SDA) Advisor, performing risk and opportunity analysis, I have the rare opportunity to apply a wide array of my seemingly unrelated skills towards my career. Before joining the TTI team, I was a Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT)/Imagery Analyst, and before that, a Fine Arts student. I have always been resigned to the idea that my career and my creative hobbies were two parallel lines that would never intersect, but I’ve been happily proven wrong since I joined TTI.
My penchant for adding artistic flair – or, at the very least, my scrupulous attention to visual detail – is not merely tolerated; it is actively encouraged. Within my first six months at TTI, I have had the privilege of illustrating “the hydra,” which would become the face of our OA10 project, designing the OA10 website with a rather extraordinary amount of artistic freedom, and contributing to much of the writing/editing involved with both OA10 and our current Risk Prioritization and Mitigation (RPM) initiative.
What sets TTI apart from other companies I’ve worked for is the leadership’s direct involvement in every project, and their genuine investment in each employee’s growth and success as a professional. The wide array of opportunities within even just the SDA Advisor position means there’s always something new to learn or something different to work on, so the work never feels stale.
I’m constantly exposed to new wickedly complex problems, but the leaders and more tenured employees of TTI are keenly attuned to the unique backgrounds of each member of the team and are quick to harness our strengths and interests to tackle those problems. We are regularly nudged out of our respective comfort zones to encourage professional growth.
This is the first company I’ve worked for where I feel appreciated for the full spectrum of what I have to offer, both as an analyst and as an individual. From design, illustration, and writing, to editing, analyzing, and communicating, I have observed that everything I have contributed to TTI has been taken seriously, respected, and even appreciated. I look forward to finding new ways to integrate my unique combination of skills into my work with TTI.
