How We’ve Used OA to Solve Challenges
Balancing Risk and Opportunity – In the face of the growing threat of Central Nervous System Acting Chemicals (CNSACs), or Pharmaceutical Based Agents (PBA), U.S. government stakeholders and their foreign counterparts lacked consensus about how to mitigate the PBA threat without causing detriment to the benefits of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
TTI deployed OA to support an interagency initiative that analyzed planning efforts across defense, law enforcement, and academic institutions to drive a common problem-framing aimed at PBAs for the development of collaborative and integrated solutions. The resulting concepts from our OA were briefed to interagency stakeholders, inspiring and informing initiatives across the government and with related partners. The insights gained from the OA informed and shaped an interagency framework, DoD plan, and served as the catalyst for actions across the interagency.
